Ohana House
The Crown Jewel of Byron
There are places that are created to be extraordinary, but few that truly are. Ohana House—set within 22 acres of lush, private grounds in the heart of Broken Head’s National Park—is one such place. A retreat that cannot be repeated. A home that transcends the ordinary.
This is no mere residence; this is a coastal sanctuary, perched on 750 meters of untouched beach frontage along the iconic Seven Mile Beach. Here, nature’s beauty converges with architectural brilliance, offering a lifestyle of incomparable elegance and ease.
Designed by the esteemed Virginia Kerridge, with interiors by Ian Halliday, Ohana House reflects the perfect marriage of sophistication and natural harmony. The vision was inspired by Richard Neutra’s famed Kaufmann Desert House, yet here, the desert is replaced by the sea, and the result is a masterful blending of structure and surroundings.
In a series of low pavilions connected by seamless walkways, the home effortlessly expands and contracts to suit your needs, whether hosting intimate gatherings or welcoming up to 28 guests. Crafted by the renowned Bellevarde Constructions, every detail is a celebration of impeccable craftsmanship—right down to the hand-finished spotted gum walkways and the earthy tones of the plywood ceilings that give each living space its warmth.
From the resort-style pool to the floodlit tennis court, to the sculptures and garden installations, Ohana House offers not just luxury, but a lifestyle. This is a place where the world outside falls away, and the only thing that remains is the quiet elegance of nature and design, in perfect unison.
Ohana House isn’t just a home; it is a legacy, waiting to be discovered.
